Where is Hurghada Marina?

This guide covers Hurghada New Marina and Marina Boulevard in Sakala, Hurghada — a different destination from Abu Tig Marina in El Gouna. When arranging a taxi or searching a map, use the full name "Hurghada Marina, Sakala" and add the restaurant, hotel or boat operator you're heading to. A hotel with "Marina" in its name is not necessarily located at the marina itself.

Is there an entrance fee?

There is no entrance fee to walk the marina promenade. The marina's own posted visitor notice covers CCTV coverage, a guard dog on duty overnight, free WiFi and a no-personal-dogs rule — it does not mention an admission charge. A ticket for a beach club, boat excursion or event is a separate purchase from your operator, not an entry fee to the marina itself.

What are the opening hours?

The marina's own posted sign states opening hours of daily, 10:00 am to 1:00 am — the photograph below is our own picture of that signage, taken on site. Individual restaurant kitchens, shops and boat departures can close earlier than the marina itself, so for a late dinner ask your restaurant about its last order time, and check departure times directly with a boat or tour operator. See our visitor information page for the full opening-hours and house-rules summary before you go.

Marina visitor rules

The marina posts a clear set of house rules for every visitor, shown in the photograph below: 24-hour CCTV coverage across the promenade, a guard dog on duty overnight, free WiFi throughout the marina, and personal dogs are not permitted inside. If you park inside the marina, keep your parking ticket until you leave — losing it means a fine at the exit.

Which entrance should you use?

Give your driver the name of the specific place you're visiting, not just "the marina" — agree on the entrance or meeting point before you travel, since the nearest drop-off for a restaurant is not always right for a boat departure. Our interactive marina map reproduces the marina's own numbered directory board, so you can point your driver or tour operator to the exact numbered spot before you set off.

Restaurants, shopping or a boat trip?

For dinner, check the restaurants list, start with a menu, and allow time between hotel pickup and your requested table time. For shopping, decide which shops you want before arranging your return. For an excursion, go by the operator's check-in time and departure point rather than the marina's general opening hours.

How much time should you allow?

A quick walk, a meal and a boat trip each need a different plan. Decide what you want to do first, then agree a return time that leaves room for it. Want to add a nearby mosque or the fish market to your trip? Mention it when you arrange your transfer so it can be planned in.
